Well, sometimes, we get stuck in those places for a period of time.
Sometimes, without even realizing it, fear is the reason for that; Fear enters in and we end up doing nothing to make the changes needed to reach our goals.
Fear is the number one method of the enemy to stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Fear, defined, means to run away from or take flight. How many of us can relate to running away when we get uncomfortable and end up taking no action at all?
God has given us the best tool to combat fear: our mouth. When we start filling our words with the Word of God we can cause satan to run. Instead of running from our fears and being scared to step out in faith, we can boldly confess the TRUTH of God’s word.
The way you overcome the fear of not having enough money, not being a healthy weight, or achieving our career goals is to start speaking God’s Word over our lives daily.
Set three small goals you would like to see changed in your life this month and then when you accomplish them, do it again. Take action and add the Word to your confession each day and you will grow stronger and stronger.
You must speak it out of your mouth. The Bible says that faith comes by hearing and when you speak it you begin to believe it in a stronger way. When you start saying FEAR NOT, there is nothing to fear you will start believing it…just like I did.
Start speaking it today. Here are a few scriptures to get you started.
I sought the Lord [on the authority of His word], and He answered me, And delivered me from ALL my fears. Psalm 34:4 AMP
‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you;
I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation]. Isaiah 41:10
“For I the Lord your God keep hold of your right hand; [I am the Lord],
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ Isaiah 41:13
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. 2 Timothy 1:7
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Give it a try and I am certain the Power of God will intervene and fear will dissipate like the morning dew. I would love to hear from you and if you would like me to pray with you or help you make a plan to achieve your goals, feel free to email me at Shawna@FaithandFood.org
