Monday night we cleaned and scrubbed our bodies and our minds. Detoxing the clutter completely out of our body is a great way to kick off the spring season. Spiritually we get bogged down in our mind by all the daily stress of this world. Monday night we talked about tips to find more down time and getting in an hour of Jesus power first thing in the morning. The importance of making this a priority is a key ingredient to successful living. Did you know the average American watches 6 hours of television a day and that by the age of 60 that is 15 years of your life? Even if you do not watch 6 full hours consider detoxing television and news for a week or two and recharge your mind and reset your schedule. Even giving up just one hour a day for a week will allow you to have 7 more hours per week. If television is not an issue for you, consider turning off your cell phone for a few hours a day. The average American looks at their phone 4.7 hours out of every day just checking it for email, messages and social media etc. If you turn it off or put it up and check in on a schedule it will save you a few hours a day and that is 14 hours a week you will regain to help improve your mind clutter. These are just a few examples we went over Monday night. Other time saving detox tips can be found in the handout. (Click Here for your Copy).
We sampled this tasty detox strawberry lemonade. This recipe is also found in the handout sheet.

If you need to do a cleanse consider adding these vegetables to your menus. Each of them are God given resources for liver cleansing.
A great way to detox the body through exercise is applying the inversion method of getting your head below your heart. This works to flush the lymphatic system which is a key process in detox. The simple act of being upside down has many benefits for your health. It can increase blood and oxygen flow to the brain, help boost your metabolic rate, and stimulate both the nervous and the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system helps rid the body of toxins and cellular waste products. Legs up on the wall and Downward dog are two simple moves you can do to help stimulate your lymphatic system. Exercise sample is shown on the handout.
