At the February Faith and Food, we talked a little bit about rebounding! Those in our breakout session learned some of the amazing benefits to jumping on this little trampoline. I also demonstrated a few simple movements that I do daily! These simple steps—or jumps—provide daily detoxing, energy and strength!
Rebounding is one of the healthiest forms of exercise! This simple movement not only stimulates the metabolism, it burns calories and reduces body fat while increasing the body’s energy levels. It’s the only type of exercise that strengthens, cleanses, and tones every cell in your body all at once! Amazing, yes?
The simple movement of bouncing will not only help you lose weight, it more importantly removes toxins from your body. Rebounding removes acidity by draining the toxins through your lymphatic system which is key for detoxing those toxins out.
Rebounding can be done in as a little as 2 minutes or as much as 15 minutes a day! You have 2 minutes, right? You may also rebound several times a day if desired. For those not physically capable of jumping, sitting on the rebounder with a little bounce will also get the same detox effect. Amazing, yes?
Every morning I have a little routine that helps me detox from the inside out! I wake up and drink my lemon water, jump on my rebounder for 5 minutes, then I sit on my floor and spend time with Jesus. It’s so easy to get up and grab a cup of coffee, get ready for work or get the kids up and ready then quickly run out the door. You may think, I’ll read a devotion before I go to bed, or I’ll read my Bible app when I’m waiting to pick up the kids from school. But those are just like surface exercises—not nearly as effective. If you count the squats when you pee as a work out I have news for you, it’s not the same as doing a routine of exercises.
We feed and exercise our physical bodies to gain energy and strength, to nourish and sustain them; but what can we do to fuel our spiritual being? Just like a baby grows by having proper nutrition, Christians must grow through spiritual nutrition: eating the Word of God. The more we read the Bible and apply it to our lives, the more we will grow as Christians, and the healthier we will be.
Whenever I am tempted to sleep in and skip time with God, I visualize God sitting in the other room waiting for me. He’s ready to spend time with me, and I surely don’t want to disappoint Him. I’ve grown to love my time on my rebounder and I love my time with Jesus. It refreshes and renews my mind then gives me energy and strength to face the day that is set before me!
I heard a number of you went out and bought a rebounder after our session! Here’s my sister on her new Oval Jogger (Sorry sis, you can’t send me this really awesome picture and not expect me to share it!)
Did you get a rebounder after our session? I’m excited to hear how you like it! Please comment below!
